Job Summary
Develop and implement Career Technical Training programs in compliance with approved Course Guides and Training Achievement Records. Provide instruction and remedial training to help students overcome barriers for industry certifications, apprenticeships, and advanced career training. Tailor instructional methods to individual learning styles while incorporating work-based learning as a primary approach. Collaborate with the Workforce Council to strengthen community linkages and develop year-round job-shadowing opportunities with employers. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry skills, safety, and health requirements while monitoring and correcting student behavior. Update eTARs weekly, provide periodic progress assessments, and ensure all DOL guidelines and state regulations are met.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed, certified or accredited in the state in which the center is located or accredited by professional trade organization
- Valid State Driver's License
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision capabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Desired Qualifications
- Above average public speaking skills and experience in same
- Above average verbal and written skills
- Above average problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Computer literacy specifically Internet, Email, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two years teaching experience preferred
