Job Summary
Conduct hemodialysis procedures and manage patient care for individuals in a correctional healthcare setting, applying principles of renal physiology and hemodialysis. Perform strong clinical assessments, IV insertions, medication administration, and emergency responses while adhering to security protocols and confidentiality requirements. Maintain compliance with all correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including passing facility criminal background checks and drug screenings. Requires a current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Oregon, minimum two years of clinical hemodialysis experience, and active BLS CPR certification. Preferred qualifications include Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) certification and prior correctional facility experience.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within OR
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Hemodialysis Staff RN in a healthcare setting
- Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification
- Strong clinical assessment, IV insertion, medication administration, and emergency response skills
- Understanding of renal physiology, the causes and progression of kidney disease, and the principles of hemodialysis
- Previous experience working in a correctional facility
- Familiarity with security protocols and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening
