Job Summary
Conduct hemodialysis treatments and perform clinical assessments, IV insertions, and medication administration for patients at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institute. Manage emergency responses while adhering to correctional healthcare policies, security protocols, and legal requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality and pass criminal background checks and drug screenings. Requires a current WY RN license, two years of hemodialysis experience, and BLS CPR certification. Previous correctional facility experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within WY
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Hemodialysis Staff RN in a healthcare setting
- Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association required)
- Strong clinical assessment, IV insertion, medication administration, and emergency response skills
- Understanding of renal physiology, the causes and progression of kidney disease, and the principles of hemodialysis
- Previous experience working in a correctional facility
- Familiarity with security protocols and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening
