Job Summary
Conduct new patient consultations, follow-up visits, and ongoing treatment management for a broad range of hematologic and oncologic conditions. Diagnose and treat patients while overseeing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and infusion therapies, including management of treatment-related toxicities. Review laboratory, pathology, and imaging results to guide care plans. Participate in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards, clinical research, and quality improvement initiatives. Provide patient and family education on diagnosis and treatment options. Share rotating call duties with occasional inpatient oncology rounding. Practice primarily at the outpatient cancer care facility in Fishersville, VA, with occasional coverage at affiliated hospitals. Join an established oncology practice supported by advanced practice providers, nurses, and social workers within an NCI-designated Cancer Center.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Strong foundation in medical oncology and the management of a broad range of cancers
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development
- Value for collaboration and mentorship
- Enthusiasm for helping grow oncology services in the community
- Virginia medical license
