Job Summary
Inpatient hematology/oncology APP hospitalist role delivering oncology care within a collaborative team. Responsibilities include admitting and discharging patients, performing inpatient consults and daily rounding, managing select chronic conditions, conducting new hematology consults with physicians, and contributing to development of innovative oncology care delivery models. Requires MSN from an accredited nursing program, Virginia NP licensure with prescriptive authority, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Relocation assistance is provided. Structured education and mentorship for new graduates are available through ThriveAP; package includes CME allowance and PSLF-eligible not-for-profit environment. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM in Lynchburg, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with MSN
- Licensed (or eligible) as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia with prescriptive authority
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
