Job Summary
Provide inpatient, outpatient, and clinic hematology and oncology coverage Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on-site in Michigan. Maintain all clinical documentation through the facility's electronic medical record system for patient encounters and treatment planning. Participate in after-hours call coverage as part of a call pool at a 1:5 ratio. Board certification in Hematology/Oncology is required for this assignment. The role supports a variable case load with assistance from five inpatient and six outpatient application support professionals. This assignment is part of a broader program at an accredited teaching hospital that also houses a dedicated cancer hospital and comprehensive neuroscience services.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology
- Availability for inpatient, outpatient, and clinic hematology and oncology coverage
- Availability for Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM shifts
- Availability for on-site work in Michigan
- Ability to provide after-hours call coverage as part of a call pool at a 1:5 ratio
- Ability to maintain clinical documentation through the facility's electronic medical record system
