Job Summary
Provide direct clinical care for hematology/oncology patients through hospital-based consultation services and outpatient management. Conduct multidisciplinary collaboration to develop patient-centered treatment plans while maintaining accurate documentation and quality improvement initiatives. Participate in academic activities, including teaching residents and fellows, within a busy, academically oriented environment. Manage clinic hours from 8 am to 5 pm with a shared weekend call rotation among three attending physicians. Requires New York Medical License and board eligibility in Hematology and Oncology.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree from an accredited university
- New York Medical License
- Board eligibility or certification in Hematology and Oncology
- Experience treating blood cancers, specifically leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Willingness to participate in academic activities and mentor trainees
