Job Summary
Hematology-Oncology physician role based in Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch with weekday schedule (Monday–Friday, 8:00–3:00) and periodic weekend hospital coverage. Responsibilities include covering two local hospitals on a rotating basis, providing cancer patient care with a 50/50 patient split (approximately 20 patients per day), Friday hospital rounds, and a 1:4 call schedule across two hospitals and select weekends. Requires MD/DO with Board Certification in Oncology and at least 5 years of cancer treatment experience; strong communication and interpersonal skills. Competitive compensation starting at $500,000 with sign-on bonus, incentives, comprehensive benefits, malpractice and tail coverage, PTO/holidays, health, dental, vision, tele-doc, wellness programs, CME allowance, and license fees covered.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certification in Oncology
- At least 5 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
