Job Summary
Hematologist/Oncologist sought for hospital-employed outpatient practice located about one hour from Asheville, NC. 98% outpatient with 1:3 call; hospitalists facilitate admissions while the physician is never called into the hospital. Typical day from 8:00–5:00 Monday–Thursday, 8:00–12:00 Friday, with a caseload of 13–15 patients per day. Practice features include 2 radiation oncologists on staff, 2 new linear accelerators, 24 infusion chairs, patient navigators, cancer support groups, and opportunities for tumor board and cancer committee engagement. There is the option to participate in clinical trials, precept residents, and collaborate with nationally renowned cancer specialists on complex cases. Diagnostics include X-ray, CT, ultrasound, mammography, bone density, nuclear medicine, mobile PET & Mammo, MRI & Breast MRI. Hospital-employed position with a compensation package that includes a $400K base salary, WRVU productivity bonus, CME stipend of $6,500, sign-on bonus, relocation stipend, student loan assistance, PSLF eligibility, robust benefits + PTO, occurrence malpractice coverage, and 403b retirement plan. Required Qualifications
- Fully licensed medical doctor in hematology/oncology
- Board certified or eligible in hematology/oncology
- Ability to manage outpatient oncology/hematology practice
- Experience with tumor boards and cancer committees preferred
