Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of patients with hematologic disorders, performing and interpreting bone marrow aspiration and biopsy procedures with precision. Manage blood transfusion protocols to ensure compatibility and safety while developing individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings. Collaborate with oncologists and pathologists in multidisciplinary teams, maintain accurate medical records, and participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff. Requires an MBBS degree with MD/DM in Hematology, minimum one year of post-graduation experience, and valid Medical Council of India registration. Salary ranges from ₹4.5LPM to 5LPM.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree with postgraduate qualification in Hematology (MD/DM in Hematology) or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of post-graduation clinical experience in a hospital or specialized hematologic care setting
- Proven expertise in bone marrow aspiration and biopsy procedures
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing hip bone (iliac crest) aspiration in adult patients
- In-depth knowledge of adult blood transfusion protocols, including cross-matching, adverse reaction management, and transfusion safety
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with a focus on hematologic pathology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment with attention to detail
- Valid medical license and registration with the Medical Council of India (or equivalent)
- Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS) and electronic medical records (EMR)
