Job Summary
The Helper/Stocker provides delivery support, assisting with the safe and accurate handling of building materials from the warehouse to the delivery location. Responsibilities include following safety rules, distributing and placing materials per order tickets, examining and recording materials transported to/from the site, verifying quantities and types, keeping delivered products neat and presentable, cleaning debris, and safely operating a forklift to move heavy loads. May assist with delivery to customers or jobsites and unloading/staging at jobsites as assigned. Requires knowledge of building material products (preferred), ability to unload/transport materials, adherence to safety methods for moving materials via stairs/elevators/boom operations, and the ability to be trained and licensed/certified to operate forklift equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to unload, transport and position building materials as required
- Ability to follow safe and applicable methods of transporting material from delivery vehicle
- Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout the shift
- Ability to consistently lift and carry 250 lbs with assistance
- Ability to be trained and licensed/certified to operate forklift equipment
