Job Summary
Drive with a Route Driver to collect waste and recyclable materials from residential and commercial containers. Manually or mechanically load and empty bins staged curbside, dockside, or requiring pullout service. Operate a hoisting device to lift containers into the truck hopper and assist with all backing maneuvers. Immediately report unsafe situations, service interruptions, closed streets, or potential safety hazards to Operations Manager or Dispatch. Attend all scheduled training programs and briefings as required. Communicate customer requests and perform duties as directed by management to meet service needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, feel, stand, walk, handle, grasp, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions with eye/hand/foot coordination
- Must strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols
- Must be subject to drug and alcohol testing including pre-employment screening, post-incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing
