Job Summary
Team with Route Driver to collect waste and recyclable material from residential and commercial containers, staging them curbside, dockside, or requiring pullout. Manually or mechanically load and empty bins using a hoisting device into the truck hopper, while assisting the driver with all backing maneuvers. Operate in accordance with WM safety rules, OSHA requirements, and local laws, immediately reporting unsafe situations, service interruptions, or incidents to Operations Manager or Dispatch. Communicate customer requests and service issues as directed to meet customer needs and complete duties as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, feel, stand, walk, handle, grasp, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions with eye/hand/foot coordination
- Must strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols
- Must be subject to drug and alcohol testing including pre-employment screening, post-incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing
