Job Summary
Driver Helper supports the Driver on a designated residential waste-collection route, assisting with loading waste, directing the Driver from the ground, and helping maintain vehicle cleanliness. Responsibilities include riding the vehicle to service customers, operating packing mechanisms to load waste, cleaning the packer blade and truck body, performing pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections, interacting courteously with customers and dispatchers, monitoring waste for safety, maintaining productivity standards, following all safety policies, and performing additional duties as assigned. Qualifications emphasize a High School Diploma, 1-3 years of related experience (solid waste industry preferred), and the physical ability for heavy lifting; outdoor work and adherence to safety procedures are required.
Required Qualifications

- 1-3 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience in the Solid Waste Industry preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (50-100 pounds)
- Outdoor work environment
- Ability to operate vehicle loading equipment and assist with loading waste
