Job Summary
The Driver Helper rides on the vehicle to assist the Driver in providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers on a designated residential route. Responsible for safely loading waste, carrying bags and containers to the vehicle, directing the Driver from the ground, and helping maintain vehicle cleanliness. Performs pre- and post-operation inspections, adheres to safety policies, interacts with customers and dispatchers professionally, monitors waste quality, and assists with housekeeping around spills. Performs other job-related duties as assigned and follows all safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience in the Solid Waste Industry preferred
