Job Summary
Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products, adjusting components and tension according to product size. Tend to or operate machines that package product, regulating flow, speed, or temperature as needed. Remove finished packaged items, separate rejected items, and secure goods by hand tying, sewing, gluing, or attaching fasteners. Stop or reset machines during malfunctions, clear jams, and report issues to a supervisor. Stock and sort product for packaging, replenish supplies like wrapping paper and glue, and inspect or remove defective materials. Clean damaged items to prepare raw products for processing. This non-exempt night shift role at Rust-Oleum offers a salary range of $20.90 - $25.80 and requires the ability to lift 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Ability to accurately read and enter computer data
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to consistently lift 75 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1 or more years experience of industry-related work
- Exposure to quality programs
- Paint/Coatings/chemical industry knowledge or experience
- Experience with a continuous process discipline such as Six Sigma/Lean/TQM manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with safety programs
