Job Summary
Collect solid waste and recyclables from customer premises and curbside locations while assisting drivers with safe vehicle operations, including navigating tight spots and backing up. Load waste into collection vehicles, operate compaction equipment safely, and audit trucks before heading out to ensure all required equipment is on board. Perform equipment checks, follow company and federal/state safety guidelines, and wear proper PPE at all times. Tag prohibited waste items, report route issues promptly, and represent GFL with a friendly, professional demeanor. Requires high energy, physical endurance to lift up to 65 lbs regularly, and comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 65 lbs regularly
- Ability to move up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills
- Positive, team-first attitude

- High school diploma/GED or valid driver's license
