Job Summary
Loads and empties residential and commercial containers manually or mechanically, maneuvers staged curbside or dockside bins, and operates hoisting devices to lift items into truck hoppers. Places serviced containers back in their original up-right position with covers secured. Assists drivers with backing maneuvers and loads trash and recycling into rear load trucks in fluctuating weather. Lifts 50 pounds constantly while maintaining stamina for this physically demanding role. Communicates professionally with customers and employees, participates in training, and adheres to all health and safety protocols. Works at a high pace in an ever-changing industry.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Physical ability to lift 50lbs. constantly throughout the day
- Ability to work under many different weather conditions
- Successful completion of pre-employment testing
- Pass a drug screen
