Job Summary
Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure functionality and availability for the Intelligence Community. Troubleshoot and resolve daily challenges across client/server, storage, network, and mobile devices through Tier 1 and Tier 2 support. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, including installations, enhancements, and integrity checks. Communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers while identifying problem areas for improvement. Work shift rotations to support mission-critical network operations and resolve hardware dispatch issues. Requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and 10+ years of systems administration experience.
Required Qualifications
- Experience providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems
- Experience configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Experience managing IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
- Experience providing support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Experience providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Experience providing support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Ability to provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process
- Ability to work shift work
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 10+ years of experience with systems administration, or 15+ years of experience with systems administration in lieu of a degree
