Job Summary
Install, configure, test, and maintain end user workstations, networked peripherals, and networking hardware while troubleshooting problems in a timely fashion. Provide end-user training, support, and assistance on computer operations, and perform on-site analysis to diagnose complex PC issues. Log all activity in the IT Ticketing System, track and close tickets, and document hardware failures and repairs. Research products for procurement, recommend hardware solutions, and liaise with third-party vendors. Maintain an inventory of IT assets, monitor PC performance, and enforce company software and hardware standards. On-call availability required; valid driver's license and ability to drive are necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Must have on-call availability
- Excellent technical knowledge of PC hardware
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
- Extensive equipment support experience with Windows based computer systems
- Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards, including TCP/IP
- Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides
- Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required
- Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
- Understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
- Self-motivated and directed

- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

- Physical attendance at the primary work location is required
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Degree or college diploma preferred, in the field of computer science or other related academic fields
- CompTIA or HDI Certifications a plus
