Job Summary
The Helpdesk Support Specialist at TransPerfect provides exceptional IT support to employees, focusing on installing and maintaining Windows and Mac hardware/software, troubleshooting desktop issues, and documenting equipment inventory. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in Helpdesk roles. Key responsibilities include responding to support requests, assisting in training Helpdesk staff, building and deploying new devices, and resolving technical problems efficiently. Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree
- Five years of progressively responsible experience performing Helpdesk tasks and functions.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10 / Windows 11)
- Knowledge of Mac OS X
- Knowledge of office productivity software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Teams, etc.
- Knowledge of basic networking and connectivity – DHCP, DNS, Cabling, etc.
- Knowledge of Virus and Spyware removal techniques
- Working knowledge of a past Helpdesk/Support Ticketing system
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- Ability to image and deploy Windows desktops and laptops
- Ability to quickly diagnose and fix problems
- Ability to open a computer and replace defective components
- Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Must be detail-oriented
