Help Desk Technician

Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, and support end-user hardware and software by imaging new and existing desktops and laptops. Respond to help requests via phone, email, and ticket system while tracking, prioritizing, and documenting all support requests. Deliver and set up computers, configuring Office, CAD, and custom applications. Manage users and computers in an Active Directory domain and familiarize yourself with Office 365 users and mailboxes. Experience repairing desktop and laptop hardware is required, along with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This role supports WesTech's mission to deliver high-quality water solutions safely and sustainably within a collegial, collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of experience in a related position or field
- Working knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems
- Customer service driven with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent troubleshooting ability
- Prioritize tasks and projects, stay productive during downtime, and occasionally work unsupervised
- Dependable, punctual, and excels working in a team environment
- Eager to learn new technologies
- Ability to lift, carry and/or place hardware or equipment, up to 50 pounds
- Candidates for this position may be required to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments
Desired Qualifications
- Technical certification (such as A+, MTA, MCSA)
- Associates degree or higher in a related field
- Two or more years of experience working in a customer service role in any technical field
- Managing users and computers in an Active Directory domain
- Familiarity with managing Office 365 users and mailboxes
- Experience repairing desktop and laptop hardware
