Job Summary
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing software and hardware, resolving IT issues related to production machinery, PLCs, and SCADA systems. Document, track, and monitor IT incidents using a ticketing system while performing routine maintenance and upgrades on manufacturing-specific infrastructure. Assist with the deployment and configuration of new technology in production environments and collaborate with engineering and operations to optimize system performance and reliability. Support mobile devices and industrial handhelds, utilizing proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software within a manufacturing context. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (e.g., PCs, printers, industrial equipment interfaces) and software (e.g., Windows OS, MS Office, specialized manufacturing applications)
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi) and ability to diagnose basic connectivity issues
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management best practices
- Ability to provide support for mobile devices and industrial handhelds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
