Job Summary
Operates Company aircraft in emergency medical services with strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations, the Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and applicable state and municipal rules. Conducts preflight inspections, monitors weather, and ensures safe, compliant flight operations for patient transport, while coordinating with maintenance for discrepancies. Requires substantial helicopter flight time, PIC experience, turbine hours, and rotorcraft certifications; supports a 7/7 schedule with base housing provided at locations. Applies standard rotorcraft procedures per the Rotorcraft Flight Manual and maintains current medical, flight credentials, and readiness for duty.
Required Qualifications
- 2000 hours total flight time
- 1500 hours helicopter time
- 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
- 500 hours turbine
- 100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
- High school diploma or equivalent
