Job Summary
Operates a Spectrum Health Hospitals aircraft, maintaining authority for decision making regarding flight acceptance related to safety, mechanical, and weather conditions. Responsible for maintaining required documentation per FAA/company standards while ensuring safety of aircraft operations. Acts as a resource to team members and community outreach initiatives, participates in process improvement activities, and demonstrates commitment to patient and team member safety. Requires extensive helicopter flight experience including ICAO and state certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Two thousand hours helicopter flight experience
- One thousand five hundred hours Pilot in Command
- At least 200 hours unaided night as Pilot in Command
- Experience in Single Pilot Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and night operation
- LIC-FAA Commercial Pilot - State of Michigan
- CRT-Air Transport Pilot - within 2 years
- CRT-FAA Flight Physical - DOT Department of Transportation
- CRT-U.S. Passport or in the process of obtaining
- Dual engine experience required
Desired Qualifications
- EMS flight experience
- FAA part 135 experience
