Job Summary
Operate and manage emergency medical helicopter missions under FAA regulations and the company EMS Operations Manual. Perform preflight checks using the rotorcraft flight manual, monitor forecast and weather conditions, and ensure safe, efficient flight operations. Report discrepancies to maintenance, stay rested and prepared for duty, and maintain current weather/forecast awareness. This evergreen, multi-location role supports a high-skill team of pilots, mechanics, and EMS personnel, with substantial rotorcraft flight time requirements and ICAO/FAA credentialing. Includes benefits such as on-duty housing, salary range in the high-80k to mid-90k annuals, a 15k sign-on bonus, a 40k retention bonus after 3 years, and a 7/7 schedule across locations. The role requires Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate and Instrument Rating, and adherence to EMS operations and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- 2000 hours total flight time
- 1500 hours helicopter time
- 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
- 500 hours turbine
- 100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 230-pound weight limit
