Job Summary
The Hele-On Bus Driver is responsible for providing safe, prompt, and efficient transportation for customers, operating the vehicle defensively in accordance with traffic regulations. Essential duties include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, assisting passengers including those needing special assistance, and maintaining a clean and professional appearance. Candidates must possess a Class B Driver’s License with a P endorsement and be at least 21 years old, along with necessary training and documentation requirements as per DOT regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 21 years old
- Completed training to perform various routes
- Able to read, speak and understand English
- Driver’s License Class B with P Endorsement
- Hawaii Driver History Record
- PUC (Physical Examination, Medical Clearance Card)
- Compliance with the company Substance Abuse Policy and Department of Transportation Controlled Substances and Alcohol Use and Testing regulations
- Ensure that all documentation as required by DOT are current and valid
