Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, cooling, AC, and electrical systems in trucks and buses. Conduct regular inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and service hydraulic and pneumatic brake systems. Work with electrical and electronic vehicle components while ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required, along with technical education and experience with vehicle systems. Basic English communication skills and a Category B driving license are necessary. Willingness to relocate to Iceland on short notice is essential. Salary is ISK 3,700 per hour, increasing to ISK 4,000 after three months. Accommodation and transportation support are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience as a truck, bus, or heavy vehicle mechanic
- Technical or vocational education in mechanics or a related field
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience with electrical and electronic vehicle components
- Basic English communication skills
- Category B driving license
- Willingness to relocate to Iceland on short notice
