Job Summary
Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance across heavy vehicles and equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults using diagnostic tools and technical expertise. Perform repairs and overhauls on engines, transmissions, brakes, and key components. Maintain accurate service and compliance records in line with NHVAS requirements. Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and external workshops to ensure efficient maintenance outcomes. This hands-on role supports customers and keeps operations moving for IOR, an Australian fuel company with over 40 years of experience serving the furthest corners of the country.
Required Qualifications
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- experience across trucks, trailers, or tankers
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- experience using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Solid understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements in heavy vehicle maintenance
- High attention to detail
- accurate record keeping
- electronic data entry skills
- Current driver's licence
- HR or MC licence
