Job Summary
Cut wire, operate large machinery, and perform physically demanding tasks daily in the warehouse and pipe department. Receive, store, select, pack, and ship inventory using Warehouse Management System procedures. Load, measure, cut, spool, and bundle wires and cables for job orders. Fill product orders, process non-UPS shipments, and pack cross-dock and Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments. Conduct cycle counts, verify bin locations, and handle stock discrepancies. Maintain the warehouse in an orderly state while following all safety procedures and wearing PPE. Work Monday through Friday, 10:30am to 7:30pm, starting at $18.19 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Prior warehouse experience
- Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to receive, pick, pack, ship, and move materials throughout the warehouse and pipe department, including, but not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, and lifting materials weighing up to 70 pounds
- Ability to operate and maneuver warehouse equipment, including, but not limited to, pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts, and other large machinery, in the manner necessary to move materials and consistent with manufacturers' instructions and safety instructions
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including the ability to perform physical requirements, adapt to seasonal changes, significant temperature variations, and inclement weather conditions
- Ability to abide by safety instruction and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or its equivalent
- Steel toed boots
