Job Summary
Operate excavators, GPS dozers, loaders, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently on construction and paving projects. Assist with equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance improvements while loading and unloading materials and maintaining a clean worksite. Complete required paperwork and documentation, and perform additional tasks as needed. This role requires 100% travel to job sites in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and other locations, along with a valid driver's license and physical ability to lift 50 lbs. Candidates must have 1-3 years of heavy machinery experience, with 3+ years preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of heavy machinery operation on a construction or paving site
- Experience with excavators
- Experience with GPS dozers
- Experience with loaders
- Experience with skid steer, roller, screed, etc.
- Ability to gain clearance for restricted/high-security zones (e.g., airport AOA, military bases)
- Willingness to travel 100% of the time
- Valid driver's license
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb, walk, kneel, squat, push, pull, and enter confined spaces
- Must be at least 18 years old
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of heavy machinery operation on a construction or paving site
- Highway or heavy construction experience
