Job Summary
Layout blueprints, shop drawings, and company documents to guide steel fabrication. Operate non-CNC heavy machinery including M/S Punch, NC Drill, Roll Break, and Press Brake under HMO-B and HMO-C classifications. Load and unload materials manually or via overhead crane and magnet, while locating parts and grinding surfaces. Perform daily preventative maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Properly mark, stamp, and troubleshoot materials as needed. Adhere strictly to all safety rules and PPE requirements. Maintain an organized work area and transport materials by crane when required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 12 months experience
- completion of a closely related vocational training course through an accredited school
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must adhere to and follow all safety rules and PPE requirements
