Job Summary
Operate heavy steel fabrication machinery per blueprints and shop drawings, including CNC programs (Plasma Arc, NC Punch Plasma, Beam Line Machine, NC Angle Master); load/unload with overhead crane or magnet; perform daily maintenance and troubleshoot, mark and stamp materials; follow safety rules and PPE; locate parts for machine operation and grind material; perform other routine duties as directed. Must read safety and procedure manuals; leverage experience with CNC equipment (HMO-A/B/C) and use of overhead cranes and forklifts. Strong emphasis on precision, safety compliance, and adherence to company fabrication standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 12 months experience or completion of a closely related vocational training course
- Experience operating CNC machines and equipment (Plasma Arc, NC Punch Plasma, Beam Line Machine, Beam Punch Operator, NC Angle Master)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and apply basic reasoning in standardized situations
- Overhead cranes and forklifts operation knowledge
- Certified or licensed qualifications not required
