Job Summary
Load and unload heavy construction equipment including front-end loaders, excavators, dozers, and backhoes onto lowboy, flatbed, and landoll trailers. Drive tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off units while verifying material types and weight restrictions. Perform daily maintenance checks on fluids and grease, clean equipment, and complete electronic pre/post trip DOT inspections. Promptly report accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management and comply with all DOT safety rules. Assist with mobilizations and demobilizations as needed, providing miscellaneous labor help on job sites. This role requires working outside in all weather conditions and operating both manual and automatic transmissions.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- clean CDL record
- Current medical card
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to travel
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet)
- Must be motivated and able to work independently
- Must be able to drive manual and automatic transmissions
- at least three (3) years' experience loading heavy construction equipment on a lowboy, flatbed, and landoll trailer
- Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations
