Job Summary

Heavy Haul Carrier Sales Rep responsible for negotiating freight rates and sourcing Heavy Haul carrier equipment to match customer freight. Drives profitability by developing carrier relationships, negotiating spot and contract rates, maintaining carrier books, and coordinating load execution from booking to delivery. Key duties include building a book of business with carriers, providing and negotiating freight rates, managing daily shipments, collaborating on pricing strategies, communicating with carriers/customers, escalating and resolving transportation issues, maintaining carrier qualifications, and ensuring timely load updates and KPI achievement. Requires strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to work a flexible schedule and operate in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Heavy Haul Carrier Sourcing / Carrier Procurement experience in a Freight Brokerage (REQUIRED).
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficient in Google Drive and Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, reports).
