Job Summary
Perform welding repairs and hardfacing on heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, grinders, and trailers. Execute daily rebuilds on industrial grinders to restore worn components and replace high-wear parts like buckets and cutting edges. Fabricate structural assemblies and repair damaged machinery using MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core processes while collaborating with mechanics to minimize downtime. Maintain a safe work environment and operate fabrication equipment across three Tucson locations with travel required. Valid driver's license and 3+ years of experience in construction or mining are required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of welding and fabrication experience
- Experience repairing heavy equipment used in construction, mining, recycling, aggregates, or similar industries
- Proficient in MIG, Stick (SMAW), and Flux-Core (FCAW) welding
- Ability to fabricate components from measurements or sketches
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license
- Must be drug-free and submit to a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Must be willing to travel across our 3 Tucson area locations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with hardfacing and wear-resistant welding techniques
- Experience rebuilding industrial grinders, crushers, shredders, or screening equipment
- Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
