Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and overhaul mechanical and pneumatic equipment used in the construction industry, including backhoes, graders, wheel loaders, and excavators. Test repaired or assembled equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications. Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating, and weld or solder broken parts and structural members. Adjust, maintain, and repair sub-assemblies like transmissions and crawler heads using hand tools, jacks, and cranes. Must possess the ability to use diagnostic equipment, read service information, and work independently with minimum direction.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use appropriate power and hand-held tools and diagnostic equipment to repair, replace and test equipment
- Working knowledge of electrical systems
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction
- Ability to read and comprehend diagnostic service information
