Job Summary
Apprentice Heavy Equipment Shop Technician at EquipmentShare in Milwaukee, WI. Responsible for safe repair and maintenance of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment; use laptops/tablets for documentation; assist in training lower-level technicians; complete work orders and paperwork; assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts; adhere to OSHA requirements; may travel to customer job sites as a field mechanic; year-round OEM training; on-call with additional compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen
