Job Summary

Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems on heavy mining and construction equipment, performing overhauls, preventive maintenance, and component replacements. Support new equipment builds and commissioning activities while troubleshooting issues using diagnostic tools. Inspect machinery to improve reliability and work independently in remote field environments adhering to strict safety standards. Maintain physical capabilities for lifting up to 50 lbs and operate under a 14x14 schedule in Northern BC.

Required Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification with Interprovincial Red Seal endorsement
  • Strong experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality
  • Comfortable working in remote locations, varying weather conditions, and confined spaces when required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work safely in remote field environments
  • Must be intrinsically motivated and committed to making safe choices when completing all tasks
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment medical questionnaire
  • Must be able to complete a drug and alcohol test
  • Must be able to provide a 5-year commercial driver's abstract

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with Komatsu equipment
