Job Summary
Conduct heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting on large off-highway mining machinery, specifically CAT 793+ haul trucks, within oil sands and open pit environments. Perform daily diagnostic imaging coverage and adhere to strict safety protocols, including mandatory CSO certification and drug and alcohol testing. Operate demanding tasks in various work conditions while maintaining valid driver's license records and English proficiency. Join a 7/7 schedule with camp accommodations and flights provided from Calgary or Edmonton, with benefits commencing after 300+ hours worked. This role supports FLINT's asset life cycle services in Canada's energy and industrial markets.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification-Off Road
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician
- Heavy Equipment Technician experience on Haul Truck CAT 793+
- Large off-highway Caterpillar, Liebherr, Komatsu or Hitachi mining equipment experience
- Oil Sands or sizeable open pit mining equipment experience
- CSO (Common Safety Orientation from Energy Safety Canada)
- Physically capable of performing demanding job tasks in various work conditions
- Valid driver's license with 3-year driver abstracts
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication
