Job Summary
Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on heavy equipment and commercial trucks, including asphalt rollers, excavators, wheel loaders, pavers, and rock trucks. Perform preventative maintenance inspections on engines, transmissions, chassis, drive lines, hydraulic, air brake, electrical, suspension, and HVAC systems. Interpret equipment condition reports and repair orders, communicate with supervisors regarding defects, and complete paperwork documenting parts usage and applied times. Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools while following all safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards
- Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on heavy equipment, Classes 1-5 light /medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks
- Valid Driver's License
