Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic)

Job Summary
Shop Technician responsibilities include maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment; diagnose issues quickly using data from multiple makes/models; manage work orders, order parts, and maintain electronic documentation; use laptops/tablets on the job; assist in training lower level technicians; assist with pickup/delivery; adhere to OSHA requirements; and participate in year-round OEM training. The role includes a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime and on-call compensation, plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- A Workplace For All (EOE M/F/D/V)
- Possession of OSHA knowledge preferred
- Drug screen and background check required
