Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) at EquipmentShare in Anderson, SC responsible for maintenance and repair of rental and customer heavy equipment and aerial lifts. Use laptops/tablets to manage work orders, track service intervals, diagnose issues, order parts, and document work. Train lower level technicians, assist with pickup/delivery, ensure OSHA requirements are met, and participate in year-round OEM training. Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime and on-call compensation; safety-sensitive role requiring a 10-panel drug screen. Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of construction equipment, and excellent communication and teamwork are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Education and Experience: High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
