Job Summary
Shop Technician (Heavy Equipment) at EquipmentShare responsible for maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment. Use laptops/tablets to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues by referencing data from multiple makes/models. Maintain documentation of work performed, assist in training lower-level technicians, and help with pick-up/delivery of equipment and parts. Must follow OSHA requirements, participate in year-round OEM training, and thrive in a safety-conscious, team-driven environment at the Waxahachie, TX facility. Schedule is Monday–Friday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM with overtime after 40 hours and rotating Saturdays; full-time role with benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Drug screen required
- Background check required
- Safety-sensitive position
