Job Summary
Apply troubleshooting techniques and determine proper repair procedures on all assigned work orders. Service, diagnose, and repair Caterpillar and allied equipment by disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling components to factory specifications. Rebuild engines, transmissions, differentials, and electrical systems while interpreting operating and maintenance manuals. Prepare parts requisitions, service reports, and accurate documentation. Requires minimum two years of heavy construction equipment repair experience, self-direction with limited supervision, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and service software. Willingness to work shifts including days, nights, and weekends to meet customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years' experience with heavy construction equipment and work tool repair
- High school diploma or GED
- Self-directed with ability to work with limited supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to work shifts as needed, including days, nights, and/or weekends to meet customer needs
- Proficiency in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and service software
