Job Summary
Apply troubleshooting techniques and determine repair procedures on assigned work orders for Caterpillar and allied equipment. Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble engines and components to factory specifications, while performing electrical and computer repairs. Interpret operating manuals and prepare parts requisitions, returns, and accurate service reports. This role requires a minimum of two years' experience with heavy construction equipment and proficiency in Microsoft Office and service software. Candidates must be self-directed, capable of working limited supervision, and willing to work shifts including days, nights, and weekends. Starting compensation ranges from $26.46 to $37.84 per hour plus shift differential, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus for new hires.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years' experience with heavy construction equipment and work tool repair
- High school diploma or GED
- Self-directed with ability to work with limited supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to accurately diagnose and repair equipment
- Willingness to work shifts as needed, including days, nights, and/or weekends
- Proficiency in the use of a computer
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in service software
