Job Summary
Apply troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and repair Caterpillar and allied heavy equipment, including rebuilding engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble components to factory specifications while interpreting operating manuals and service bulletins. Prepare parts requisitions, accurate service reports, and other necessary documentation. Work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision, coordinating with the team to achieve continuous improvement goals. Requires two years of heavy equipment repair experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years' experience with heavy construction equipment and work tool repair
- High school diploma or GED
- Self-directed with ability to work with limited supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to accurately diagnose and repair equipment
- Willingness to work shifts as needed, including days, nights, and/or weekends
- Proficiency in the use of a computer
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in service software
