Job Summary
Diagnose and repair heavy equipment in shop or on site, troubleshoot hydraulics, engines, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues; perform preventative maintenance; complete work orders; maintain daily truck inspection logs and a clean work area; communicate with service manager; requires forklift license and 2-3 years of shop/field experience with technical certifications or an associate’s degree. Shop and field positions available at ASCO Equipment in San Angelo, TX; strong mechanical/electrical theory understanding and ability to work with limited supervision are required. Pay ranges from $24-$35 per hour depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 year min. of shop/field heavy equipment troubling and repair Technical Certifications or Associate’s Degree
- Must have strong understanding of mechanical and electrical theories and principles
- Ability to work within set time parameters, multi-task, and follow procedures
- Ability to work with limited supervision and a certain degree of independent judgement
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships and professionally manage difficult situations
- Must be able to obtain a forklift license
- Must furnish tools suitable for Heavy Equipment repair
- Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
