Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment to transfer and load materials at the Transfer Station while weighing inbound and outbound materials and processing outbound Bills of Ladings. Direct incoming trucks and vehicles to appropriate unloading areas, oversee schedules for where and which trucks dump, and coordinate loading and unloading of all materials in a busy environment. Maintain accurate scale operations and records, ensure public areas remain clean, and site mechanical problems to the shop foreman immediately. Follow all safety checks, regulations, and cleaning schedules while providing excellent customer service to drivers, staff, and customers.
Required Qualifications
- at least 18 years of age
- legally eligible to work in the US
- high school diploma or GED
- two years of prior experience in heavy equipment operation
- Physical ability to perform duties in various weather conditions
