Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment to transfer and load materials efficiently while weighing inbound and outbound materials at the facility. Direct incoming trucks to unloading areas, oversee schedule for dumping and trailer switching, and coordinate loading and unloading of all materials. Maintain accurate scale operations and records, site mechanical problems to the shop foreman, and ensure public areas remain clean per facility schedules. Follow all safety protocols, equipment checks, and regulations while providing excellent customer service to drivers, staff, and customers.
Required Qualifications
- at least 18 years of age
- legally eligible to work in the US
- high school diploma or GED
- Proven commitment to work and safety
- excellent communication skills
- problem solving skills
- Physical ability to perform duties in various weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- two years of prior experience in heavy equipment operation
